Kathy "Popcorn" Salloum has been clowning for more than 20
years.
Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, she was introduced to the art
of clowning at an early age by her father, Bud "Buddy" Salloum,
(shown with her at right) and she has been thankful ever since.
Popcorn has done all types of clowning including business and
corporate events, birthday parties, community and school programs,
parades and picnics, nursing homes, charity fundraisers and
Christian clown ministry. She has clowned at Penn State receptions
and events and for a variety of organizations.
She is a co-founder and a past president of the Happy Valley Alley
Clowns
and the co-author of The Joyful Journey of Hospital Clowning:
Making
a Difference with Love and Laughter, a book now being
excerpted as
an e-book on the World Clown Association
website.
She is a contributor to The Joyful Journey of Nursing Home
Clowning.
